WHERE ARE THE PSO’S ?

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA – In a video of a fire on Beaver Ridge Trail you can hear the Incident Commander repeatedly requesting PSO’s. The Cedar Falls Public Safety Department has recently started replacing career fire fighters with police officers with minimal fire training. House Fire Under Investigation After Man Found Dead In Burned Out Home. PRE-ARRIVAL!!

Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Officers Arrived To Find The Home With Some Visible Fire. "Officers Made Entry For A Possible Rescue Attempt, But Were Driven Out By The Flames," Said Blackman Assistant Director Grajewski.

Mutual Aid From Multiple Fire Departments Responded Into Leoni Township For The Structure Fire On Jacqueline Street. Crews From Blackman-Leoni, Jackson, Henrietta, Grass Lake Battled The Late Night Fire.

The Fire Marshall Was Called To The Scene. The Fire Is Still Under Investigation.

Blackman-Leoni Public Safety Units And K-9 Were First On Scene. None Of The Officers Were In Full Fire Turnout Gear When Arriving To The Structure Fire. They Had To Change Out Of Police Gear And Put On Fire Gear Which Cost Them Valuable Time In Making A Rescue.

The April 15th Fire Was Reported Shortly After 11pm By A Neighbor.
